KorrochKarrie Korroch – Sharing “Stories on the Move”   Sat 5/31 11am-12noon Session

Session Title: Stories on the Move®  (for children ages 3-6 and their caregivers)

Karrie Korroch has enjoyed collaborating adventurously with children and families, as an educator, librarian, storyteller, and movement specialist for 36 years. Karrie is the Founder and Artistic Director of Stories on the Move®. She delights in creating opportunities for children to explore who they are and who they are becoming through imaginative movement play, interactive storytelling, joyful interactions, mindful communication, and whimsical experiences with music and puppetry.

Stories on the Move® classes are as diverse as their participants! The structure of each experience is woven together through participatory storytelling, puppetry, musical invitations, individual expression, and joyful, collaborative interactions. A wealth of props and a rich array of materials allow participants to move with all of their senses while diving into a world of wonder and imaginative play. We explore our movement potential by engaging with musical instruments, curiosity, cooperative movement games, and a carefully crafted balance of energizing and calming activities. Stories on the Move® classes support well-being by inviting all participants to actively immerse in play and expand their repertoire for fun ways to get moving together!  Each person is appreciated for the unique gifts, perspectives, and ideas they bring to the class community.

Session 4 “Dancing through Life” – living with pleasure as our guide

EnJOY a lifestyle practice of turning everyday movement into something that feels like dance, while enjoying each opportunity of stillness to mindfully alter your perception while transforming your everyday world into something inspiring and extraordinary!  These three tools of peaceful presence may be called on to enhance your life force by using our senses to seek pleasure in every moment!  All are welcome!

Session 5 – Gratitude Closure – Celebrate the art of appreciation
