Adopt-a-Family 2022
We were privileged to have the opportunity to work with the oncology department at Sparrow to support two of their patients and their families.
The results were stupendously heart-warming. Santa is alive and well in our Unity CommUNITY. The circle of generosity is gigantic and growing all the time.
The first family is Armanni (20) who was recently diagnosed with leukemia. She has a 21-month-old son. Armanii moved into her apartment one month before her diagnosis. Her 18-year-old cousin lives there and helps with Jamar. But they have very little in the way of furnishings and household stuff.
The second family is Carla (13) and her parents. Carla is another leukemia patient. The family lives outside of St. John's. Dad is a farm worker, often going without sleep to drive Carla back and forth for treatments and doctor's appointments.
